Kris Cangelosi is a choreographer, performer, writer, and teacher specializing in jazz and modern dance throughout Europe, Eastern Europe, Mexico, and across the United States. Kris is presently teaching as a resident faculty for the Virginia School of Arts and has taught at several other facilities such as the Atlanta Ballet, Atlanta School of Ballet, Ballet Tennessee, South Carolina Conservatory Summer Workshop, Georgia Governors Honors, Joseph Giacobbe Academy of Dance in New Orleans, International Tanz Project Bonn in Germany, American College Dance Festival in Miami, and schools from California to the east coast.

Kris was the artistic visionary producing critically acclaimed works for seven years across the United States and Europe under the Kris Cangelosi Dance Project based in Atlanta. The Project produced several concert series in Atlanta as well as performing at the American Choreographers Showcase in Vienna, Austria, and Eastern Europe. The Project performed in Chicago, the New York City Fringe Festival, World Jazz Dance Congress, University of South Carolina, and a southeast performance tour including arts programs for students in Savannah, Georgia, Southern Pines, North Carolina and along the Southeast coast.

Kris has produced works for other companies, such as Mount Baker Ballet in Bellingham, Washington, which were performed at the Pacific Ballet Festival, Ballet Tennessee, Atlanta School of Ballet Ensemble, Gainesville Ballet, and the Baton Rouge Ballet Theater.

As a performer, Kris was featured in works choreographed by New York's Peter Pucci and Randy James, and artistically directed by Douglas Scott of DanceForce. She also performed with the Room to Move Dance Company under Amy Gately, Several Dancers Core, Moving South Dance Company, Walt Disney Productions, Baton Rouge Ballet Theater, and several industrials and commercials. Kris continues to choreograph and perform her own solo work. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts at Louisiana State University where she performed with the L.S.U. Dance Theater under Dr. Terri Worthy. Kris is a writer for Dancers Publication. She also continues to adjudicate for Dance Productions and audition sites.
